Why this store is so small
Most online pet stores carry more products than anyone could compare. We carry six. That is the entire idea.
The problem with endless shelves
Search for a cat water fountain and you get page after page of results, many of them the same fountain with a different logo glued on. Some ship from the other side of the world and take a month. Some break in the second week. Choosing well takes an evening of reading reviews you cannot fully trust.
We would rather do that reading once and put the result on a short page.
What earns a spot here
Three tests, and a product has to pass all three.
- It fixes a real, recurring problem. Not a nice extra. A recurring, specific annoyance, like hair on the couch or nails you are afraid to cut.
- It survives past the first month. The cheapest version of any gadget is cheap for a reason, and that reason shows up in week three.
- It ships from inside the United States. No exceptions, and this one has become the hardest to meet.
About that third test
In August 2025 the United States ended duty-free entry for low-value parcels, and in June 2026 that became permanent. Every commercial package crossing the border now owes duty, whatever it cost.
A lot of online stores have not adjusted. They still ship direct from overseas, and the customer finds out when a courier asks for a customs payment at the door, four weeks after ordering.
We only sell what is already sitting in a US warehouse. It narrows the catalog considerably. It also means your package arrives in days and the price you paid is the whole price.
What we are not
We are not a veterinary service, and nothing we write is medical advice. We are not a big company, and you will not get a reply written by a call center. We do not have every product, and when we do not have what you need we will say so and point you elsewhere.
How this shop is run
Orvandia is independent and small. It is not a marketplace, there is no call center, and nobody here is paid to hit a sales target.
One person picks every product, answers the support inbox, and places each order with the US warehouse the same day it arrives. That is why the shelf is six products long and not four thousand: each one had to be checked, priced and written up by hand.
If something we sold you fails, the same inbox that took your order reads your email and issues the refund. No ticket number, no transfer, no script.
How to reach us
One address, read by a person: [email protected]. Replies go out within one business day. If something we sold you fails, tell us. We refund it, and we pull it from the shop so the next person does not get the same thing.
